SUPER BOWL LVI

The Ultimate Fan Experience.

I remember watching my first Super Bowl with my brother when the Packers played the Steelers in 2011.

11 years later I can finally say that I played a role in creating the ultimate experience for the city of Los Angeles by working with the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission in hosting Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park!

I was selected out of 31 candidates in the LASEC pool to work as a team shift manager during Super Bowl pre-week and then act as a managing assistant on game day. During the week I also was able to attend other events like the NFL Honors, Chairmen’s Party, and the Universal Studio’s Media Party.

Pre-Week at LAX

The Wednesday before Super Bowl Sunday is usually when fans start arriving in the host city. All week I was leading volunteers at LAX who were greeting and passing out Super Bowl information for all those getting off their planes and arriving in Los Angeles. A goal of the host committee was to make fans feel their presence. It was amazing to help serve the Los Angeles community and make an impact on fans’ experience as soon as they landed.

Game Day.

On game day I acted as an assistant manager and way-finder. This means I was working behind the scenes in all the organizational aspects regarding the Super Bowl, more especially in the department of staffing and risk management. I had to overcome challenges such as arming ADA-only entrances and ensuring the celebrities were escorted to their suites in a professional manner in a hectic environment. My favorite part about working game day was seeing all the hard work and planning the NFL and the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission pay off and make an impact on the city of Los Angeles.
